Marble is great for cooking, it remains cool naturally, which makes it a great surface for baking. However, marble is not completely heat resistant, so don't place hot pots and pans directly on marble countertops, marble is also metamorphic rock so it does change over time, even after sealing, it also scratches so be mindful of your beautiful marble countertops.
